The Board of Castleblayney Community Enterprise were delighted to host a small delegation from Caudete in Spain who spent three days in the town on a fact-finding mission centred on education and training.
The delegation included the Mayor of Caudete Moises Lopez Martinez. Caudete is a municipality in the southeast of Spain in the province Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha. The Spanish delegation also included Maria Elia Lacárcel Megías, who is the Director of European Exchange Programmes.
During their visit the group met a number of local people and organisations involved in vocational training and education. These included David Mc Adam, Principal Youthreach, Eddie Kelly, Principal Our Lady’s Secondary School, Darren Mc Quillan, Manager Iontas, Lorraine Cunningham, Co-ordinator Blayney Blades, Margaret Comey, Training Co-ordinator Castleblayney Community Enterprise and Neill Mc Veigh, Principal Castleblayney College.
Their visit also included a tour of the Combilift business in Monaghan and a presentation from Annmarie Wards of the Cavan/Monaghan Education Training Board (ETB).
