New youth mental health service in Castleblayney

Tusla Castleblayney

In the coming weeks an Early Intervention Youth Mental Health Service (EIYMH) for the region will start its service in Castleblayney. The Cavan Monaghan EIYMH will be based in the Tusla Castleblayney Child Wellbeing Centre, where young people aged 12 to 25 can expect the service such as social and psychological supports with established referral pathways to HSE and wider community interventions. The service will be provided by a Clinical Nurse Specialist, a Suicide Crisis Assessment Nurse, Administration Support and a Youth Mental Health Support Worker who are taking up their positions this month. The service will be managed and clinically governed by a senior psychologist, reporting to the principal psychology manager. This will enable the strong connectivity with primary care psychology services and wider primary care services.
