St. Patrick’s Day is coming upon us once again and we are taking names of any organisations, businesses, bands etc. that wish to take part in this year’s fun! We are anxious to recreate last year’s success and make this year’s parade even bigger and better! There will be prizes for Best Bands and Best Floats!
The parade begins at 3pm on Tuesday, March 17th and promises to be a great day out for all.
We hope to see as many bands, community groups, schools and businesses’ from Carrickmacross and its surrounding areas getting involved in this year’s parade.
Nearly 200 people joined Blayney Blades on Monday 20th of January to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Blayney Blades Women’s Group was established in 1995 to support women and their families. Since then, Blayney Blades have been responsible for empowering, encouraging and enabling women of all ages to return to education and access employment.

Castleblayney Hurling Club will be hosting a Breakfast Morning on Sunday 2nd February in Íontas, Castleblayney from 9am to 1pm. This is an opportunity to support the hurlers as they get ready for the new season. 
Once again the club has enjoyed phenomenal success at all levels which was recognised at the Monaghan GAA awards recently with the club receiving the Youth Achievement award and Brian McGuigan honoured with the Senior Hurler award. All of this effort and achievement carries a financial cost so all support is greatly appreciated on the morning.
