Coffee Morning this Sunday 2nd June

Local graduate Dietitian Muireann McHugh will be hosting a coffee morning on Sunday 2nd June in the Scout Hall, Castleblayney from 9am to 2pm. Proceeds of the day will be going to Muireann McHugh who will be volunteering as a dietitian for the charity Lámha Suas in the Safe Motherhood Programme in Uganda this August.

Muireann will make her journey to Uganda on 3rd August to volunteer as a dietitian with the charity Lámha Suas by carrying out nutrition workshops in rural villages, helping in the nutritional development of the expectant mothers on the Safe Motherhood Programme.

Lámha Suas charity began the Safe Motherhood Programme in January 2015 with the aim to educate expectant mothers in safe birthing practices and to encourage them to go to the maternity clinic in Madudu, Uganda to have their babies. The programme has been very successful in terms of both maternal and infant mortality rates and has helped over 1100 mothers to date.

Your support for Muireann would be much appreciated.
