RSA Check it Fits Service

The RSA’s ‘Check it Fits’ service, which checks child car seats and restraints, will be visiting the Glencarn Shopping Centre, Castleblayney on Monday 1st April  from 10am to 5.30pm.

The ‘Check It Fits’ service is quick, it’s easy and it’s free, with experts on hand on the day offering advise on how to fix any problem, demonstrate how to fit the restraint correctly and answer any queries participants might have. The experts aim to put parents, grandparents and guardians minds at ease that their child’s car seat is safely and securely fitted in their car.

The law states that all children under 150cms or 36kgs must use a child car seat appropriate to their weight and height.

As travelling by car may be potentially one the most dangerous things a baby or child is likely to do each day, parents and guardians should ensure that their small passengers are as well protected as possible by having the proper child car seat for their height and weight correctly installed in their vehicle.

Don’t let your child be a statistic. Get your child car seat checked.
