Castleblayney Show 2018

The Castleblayney Show will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 6th August on the showgrounds of Jimmy and Shelia McShane farm is across from the Blackhill GAA grounds out the Shercock Road.

As part of this year’s programme Castleblayney Show will be presenting “Castleblayney Show Remembers Big Tom” Big Tom and his wife Rose were a huge part of the Castleblayney Show for a long time. On the day there will be songs, stories and photographs in memory of the Big Tom and his wife Rose along with a few surprises.

There will be various other entertainment throughout the day including Gary Keenan and Micky the Butcher, cookery demonstrations provided by the famous award winning Chef, Joe Shannon and numerous marquees filled with many competition entries from art, horticulture, photography and many more.

The show kicks off early in the morning for the exhibitors and competitors leaving in their prize winning goods and animals for judging that morning. Judging in all sections commences around 10.30am with the marquees opening to the public around 12 noon.
