Swallow Studios Open Day Saturday 19th May

Local hand-weaver Liz Christy will be hosting an open day in Swallow Studios this Saturday 19th May from 12pm to 5pm in Annayalla, Castleblayney.

On the day, the public will have a chance to look around the studio, have a cup of tea and a chat with Liz who owns the Swallow Studios. Also browse through collections of scarves, brooches, decorations and a range of LizzyC Sheep key rings.

Well known for her colourful hand-woven scarves Liz is inspired by art and in particular, paintings by her favourite painter, Claude Monet. She has also designed a collection of scarves inspired by the much loved drumlins hills of County Monaghan and of course, the beautiful Bragan, which is raised Bog Mountain in the north of the county.

Very proud of her county's lace making heritage, Liz has designed a range which is a tribute to that heritage. Her Renaissance Collection is a woven lace using fine cottons and authentic Donegal spun wools.
