Castleblayney Hurlers in all Ireland Semi Final
Best wishes to the Castleblayney Senior Hurling team who have reached the semi-final of the Junior All Ireland Club Championship.
All roads lead to Mullingar on Sunday 20th for the game against Carrick on-Shannon, Leitrim. Throw in is at 2pm in Cusack Park and it is hoped a huge crowd of the Castleblayney faithful will make the journey to support the team and the management. This is a truly historic and momentous occasion for the club and the people of Castleblayney are encouraged to travel and support the team.
The team is managed by Jimmy Lacey and Barry O’Reilly and both managers are wished the best of luck by committee.
The club received a boost when in the run-up to the game, club stalwart, supporter, committee member and former player and manager, Paul Hughes of Hughes Kitchens Culloville, have sponsored tops for the team.

Fitness Programme for Over 40’s at Scout Hall Castleblayney
The 8 week fitness programme will start on Friday 25th January 6.30pm to 7.30pm in the Scout Hall, Castleblayney.
This programme focuses on ladies and gentlemen of all fitness levels and ages over 40.
Burn off those calories by:
- Getting fit through a fun approach
- Building on your current level of fitness
- Using the principles of Tae Kwon-Do training

Tae Kwon-Do at Scout Hall Castleblayney 2019
The popular self-defence classes are set to run again in the Scout Hall, Castleblayney. Free enrolment classes for all will take place on Wednesday 23rd, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th January 2019.
The schedule for the classes will run as follows:
Ages 3 to 6 Tigerz Programme - WEDNESDAY 6pm-7pm and SATURDAY 2pm-3pm
Ages 6 to 14 - WEDNESDAY 6.30pm-7.30 and SATURDAY 2pm-3pm
Ages 15 and up & adults - FRIDAY 6.30pm-7.30pm
Tae Kwon-Do is a Korean Martial Art, combining combat and self-defence techniques with sport and also exercise. It was first developed in the 1940’s by a variety of Korean Masters as a partial combination of taekkyeon, okinawan karate and other traditions. These exciting classes provide a great opportunity for individuals to learn a new skill and Taekwondo also helps build fitness, self-confidence, self-defence techniques and discipline.
