Huge Response to Christmas Shoebox Appeal
The Church of Ireland has received phenomenal support for this year’s Shoebox Appeal. In total, 2773 shoeboxes were collected across the South Monaghan.
The Shoeboxes were collected by truck driver Milo from Serbia on Wednesday 27th November to go on a journey across 11 countries to the final destination in Durres, Albania.
Shoebox Appeal aims to bring hope and happiness to the children, who may not otherwise celebrate the significance of Christmas and the holiday season.
On behalf of The Church of Ireland; a big thank you to everyone who has donated and to volunteers who have been working hard to check that all the Christmas Shoeboxes meet with customs and safety requirements.
