Our Ladys Secondary School

Students from Our Lady’s Secondary School, Castleblayney, represented their school at the Student Enterprise County Finals and achieved fantastic results by recently receiving several Awards and now represent County Monaghan in the National Finals.

Sarah Myles, a second-year student, got an Award in the Creative Video Competition in the Junior Category, where student had to refer a new innovative product or service to their target market, state who their competitors were and explain how they were going to advertise their product or service. Sarah will represent County Monaghan in the National Finals in May with her innovative product – a water bottle which notifies the consumer when they would need to drink more water. Our lady’s Secondary School student Emily O’Reilly came second. Emily’s innovative idea was an exquisitely designed jewellery, which monitors insulins levels for people with diabetes. Erin McQuillan won the best quality video in this category. Her innovative business idea was a jewellery with GPS which would help to track elderly people suffering from Alzheimer’s. Adam and Pauric McBride got Award in Most Innovative Product and the overall Senior Category Award in the Senior Category. Boys will represent County Monaghan in the National Finals with their SoundSafe product, which allows to store earphones in a strong and durable semi-circular case.
