65th Castleblayney show will take place thid Bank Holiday Monday 1st August at McShane’s Farm, Blackhill, Castleblayney. Damien McDonald, Director General IFA, and Ciaran Rosney will Officially Open the Show. Special guests attending Castleblayney Show are Rachel Woods, Monaghan Rose 2022, and the Garda Mounted Unit.
A variety of competitions will take place on the day including classes for cattle, horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats, poultry, eggs, home industries, farm produce, horticulture, art, painting, drawing, needlework, crafts, photography, children’s competitions, special needs, senior citizens, teen scene and dogs.
New for 2022 is “Castleblayney Health and Wellness Marquee” where “Make the Move”, Embrace Ireland and Agri Kids will be among many other trade stands.
Other attractions include cookery demonstrations, dog show, trade stands, vintage display and free children’s entertainment including the very popular return of the Castleblayney Show Junior Tractor Run. Many other side shows will be there on the day including Tug O’War, children’s entertainment, Bonny Baby, Little Mr Farmer, Little Miss Farmerette, Most Glamourous Granny, Grandad and Grandchild to name just a few.
Admission fee is €13 or 2 for €25. Children under 12 years old are free and must be accompanied by an adult.
Free Shuttle Bus from Castleblayney town centre to the Show Field will operate from 11 am throughout the day at regular intervals with Castleblayney town collection point situated at the Supervalu car park.
