CASTLEBLAYNEY PLAYERS present “Anyone Could Rob a Bank”, the popular comedy by Irish writer Thomas Coffey, Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th May in Iontas Theatre at 8pm.
When Badger Grey (David Maine) describes to his brother Jereen (Nicky Hore) and neighbour Windy (Pat Kerley) how they could rob the local Bank, they are shocked when his wife Sarah (Carmel Allen) tells him the next day that the Bank has been robbed. They suspect each other and fear the new Sergeant (Shane Cumiskey), who is on the case and who wants to marry Badger’s daughter Noreen (Heather Hennessy) and who also trains Badger’s cousin Mickey (Jack Woods) to be a boxer. The Sergeant suspects Tony (Roraidh Irwin), a stranger in town and lodger in the Grey household and also suspects him of paying too much attention to Noreen. You think that’s complicated? Many twists and turns make this whodunit a laugh out loud story from start to finish.
