CASTLEBLAYNEY DRAMA FESTIVAL is delighted to announce an exciting new Drama Festival of ONE ACTS which will be run over the weekend November 1st to 3rd.
This Festival will be part of the One Act festival circuit in which drama groups from around the country will compete for a place in the Finals which will be held in Naas the following month.
There will be different plays each session, each one less than 55 minutes, with a short interval between plays. Each group has only 10 minutes to erect their stage setting and 5 minutes to dismantle it! Despite these limitations, the drama groups provide interesting sets to tell their stories. At the end of the session, the adjudicator, Rose O’Neill, will give the audience her opinion on each production, and at the end, on Sunday, will announce the winner.
We are very thankful to McMahon’s Supervalu, Castleblayney for their generous sponsorship.
Keep an eye on Castleblayney Drama Festival Instagram, Facebook and Website for information updates closer to festival time.
Friday and Saturday sessions start 7.30pm. Sunday starts 3pm. (Note early times).
Weekend Ticket for all plays €35.
Individual Session Ticket €16/€14/€8
