Castleblayney Drama Festival
Once again Castleblayney audiences will be treated to a feast of drama as nine groups perform a variety of plays to suit all tastes.
Our Festival, which has been established for 35 years and is organised by a local, voluntary group, begins this year on Friday 28th February and continues until Saturday 8th March. Plays start 8pm each night in Iontas Theatre, except the final night at 7.30pm to facilitate the awards ceremony afterwards. Adjudicator this year is Tom Byrne from Co. Kildare, an award-winning, experienced director.
This year’s programme sees groups visiting from Wexford, Tipperary, Down, Armagh, Louth, as well as our local Castleblayney Players. Plays range from hilarious comedy to thriller to thought-provoking drama.
Nightly tickets are €16 and €14, and a student rate €8.
You can also purchase a Season Ticket for €90 which entitles you to see all shows – and tickets are transferable to anyone.
