Castleblayney Community Enterprise group trip to Spain for Erasmus+ Programme

Chairman of local community group Castleblayney Community Enterprise Pete McMahon, along with Paul Shortt a member of the Board of Directors and Martin Mullin, administration staff member went on a 3-day visit to the Spanish town of Caudete as part an Erasmus+ Adult Education Programme.

The group of 3 travelled on Sunday 19th May under the guidance of Elia Lacárcel expert in European Erasmus projects. Their visit included exchanges with staff relating to activities of non formal learning for adults at House of Culture, Casa de Cultura which has popular University courses in adult education. They also visited the local Public School of Music and Dance and received an introduction to all the existing adult education training offered by them and attended some of the classes over the few days.

Their visit also included guided visits to cultural heritage buildings involved in local cultural such as museums and churches with an historic significance for local history.

Castleblayney Community Enterprise will continue their links with the Spanish town under the Erasmus+ Programme.
