Local businesses are being encouraged to avail of the Castleblayney Town Voucher Scheme this Christmas to reward their employees and to help keep the town busy and thriving. Chairperson of Castleblayney Regeneration Committee Annmarie McHugh made the call by stating “2020 has been a strange year for us all, both in business and personally and in particular for the business and retail sector. With that in mind keeping local money and jobs in the town was never more important.”
Under the Revenue’s Small Benefit Exemption Scheme employers can minimize their tax liability by using Castleblayney Town Voucher up to a maximum of €500 for each employee.
In 2015 Castleblayney Regeneration Committee introduced a Castleblayney Town Voucher Scheme, which has the support of over 75 retail outlets in the town. Since then, this has brought €186,000 into the town that may have been spent elsewhere.
Castleblayney Town Vouchers can be purchased from the following outlets:
- Enterprise Centre
- McMahon’s Supervalu
- Churchview Flowers & Garden Centre
- Cozy Café
