The documentary film features Castleblayney man John McKeon and highlights his passion for growing native trees from seed. John also champions the planting of native trees in hedgerows and small woodlands. The beautifully illustrated book complements the documentary film by exploring Ireland’s native trees and offering practical guidance on how to propagate them.

This project is the result of a collaboration between the Monaghan Branch of the Irish Wildlife Trust and the Biodiversity Section of Monaghan County Council. The screening and launch will take place at the Iontas Centre, Castleblayney, on Thursday, 14th May at 7:00pm. Wildlife enthusiast and broadcaster Éanna Ní Lamhna will be the guest speaker. All welcome.
