BOI Enterprising Town Awards

Castleblayney is one of the shortlisted towns for the Bank of Ireland Enterprising Town Awards 2017. On Friday last the Castleblayney Regeneration Committee presented a comprehensive overview of the enterprising and community spirit of the town as part of the entry in this competition. Following the presentation which was attended by a large cross section of the local community, the judges were escorted around the Castleblayney area, with visits to Lough Muckno, Main Street, Irish Homecare, Shabra, Kingspan and Concra Wood.

Judges are visiting towns across the country throughout the month of September before the winner is announced at an awards ceremony which will be held in November. Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprising Town Awards aims to assist in the promotion of enterprise across the country by bringing business and community groups together to showcase to a panel of judges, the spirit of enterprise in their local area.
