Olive retires from Blayney Blades after 23 years of devoted service

Highly esteemed local lady Olive Bolger has retired from her role as co-ordinator with the town’s successfully women’s group known as Blayney Blades.

Though the group was not officially formed until 1995 Olive was instrumental in the preliminary work and investigations which paved the way for the groups formation.

Olive’s retirement was marked by a special event held in the Íontas Centre, Tuesday past in which a number of presentations were made to her including a laptop presented by her colleagues in Blayney Blades.

In her concluding remarks Olive thanked all those who were part of her journey through her years in the women’s group and announced that she would still continue her involvement with the group in a voluntary capacity.
