62nd Annual Castleblayney Show

Castleblayney show is in its 62nd year and it will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 7th August at the farm of Jimmy and Shelia McShane in Blackhill out the Shercock road from Castleblayney. The farm is across from the Blackhill GAA centre. 

The show kicks off early in the morning for the exhibitors and competitors leaving in their prize winning goods and animals for judging that morning. Judging in all sections commences around 10.30am with the marquees opening to the public around 12 noon.

The Castleblayney Show Committee had been working hard to bring a little of something for everyone, It’s like bringing the country to town for one day of the year.This year’s special attractions are the ever popular Food Village: filled with locality produced products, All Ireland baking championship 2017, fashion show, Falconry display, Phil’s mobile Pet Farm, Johnny and Molly and their poitin making antics. There will be all the usual side shows of bonny babies, glamorous granny, Little Miss farmer and Little Mr farmer. There will be face painting, bouncy castles, magic shows for children and live music on the grounds from 12 noon Music by Gary Keenan and later on in the afternoon by Colin Harney.

Admission is €10 and free for children under 12

So come early no matter what the weather and have a safe and enjoyable day at Castleblayney Show.
