Castleblayney Host Crucial Division 1 Monaghan v. Donegal Football Game

The local Castleblayney Faughs Club played host to a must win National League Division 1 game at their grounds on Sunday last, at which Monaghan’s place in Division 1 was decided.

In an exciting, closely contested game, the homeside managed a one point win, which, alongside a win by Derry on the same day over Cork, now sees both Cork and Derry relegated to Division 2 and Monaghan survive Division 1.

Compliments must also go to the Faughs Club for hosting the game on their grounds. The assistance of stewards ensured a great day where all the focus could be placed on the game itself. Well done to all involved.
